This shows my long curly hair
that I wore down at the NIU
banquet at the IMEA All-State
Music Conference in January.
This is just a month before I
drove home and got it all
chopped off! :)
Here I am at Classic Clipper at home.
Julie is just about to chop off the majority
of the length. My grandma took a picture
of the last moment I still had my long hair.
Yeah, I'm not happy here. My hair
is a big curly ball...exactly what I
wanted to avoid. But after a bit more
shaping, adding some product, blow-
drying, and playing with it, I was
satisfied. Thanks Julie!
So then I had to take a picture with my
mommy...even though she also complained
that she looked crappy. I brought up the
fact that they all took family pictures at
Christmas with me looking dumpy in a
sweatshirt and ballcap after driving 6 hours
to get home and then sending it to family
members...so she had no room to talk!
This might actually be the only picture
of just me and mom for the whole school
year. I only went home for the EHS
homecoming football game, Thanksgiving,
Christmas, and recently for doctors
appointments and this haircut. (sniffle)
But that's okay, because Mom and I keep
in touch by phone and email. Ah technology.

I straightened my hair before singing
the Star Spangled Banner with the
Newman Voices for a basketball game
and later attended a party looking like this.
Here's Julie holding the ponytail of
my hair that she just chopped off!
Wow, did I feel like I lost a pound
off of my head! Haha! Everyone
asked me if I was freaking out. Nope.
That was the good part. It was when
she started trimming that I became
unsure of my decision. You can see
this in the next picture. ;)
After coming home, Aunt Kay dropped
by and she showed me how to curl the
sides a bit and how to curl the bottom
so it flips out. Way cuter! We took a
quick pick to capture the moment, even
though she complained that she was in
no state to take a photo. Great Pick!
And of course, I had to take a photo
with Grandma, my company and
photographer for the day. How sweet!
